'Reconnect Radio' is a major project running in the Spring and Summer of 2022, supported by Kent County Council. Academy FM is working with 12 Primary schools across three Districts - Folkestone & Hythe, Canterbury, and Ashford.

 

We are installing simple audio recording and production equipment including microphones, a PC, a mixing desk, and headphones. We work with 40 pupils from each school plus members of staff, and train them to make simple audio productions and radio programmes to enhance the teaching & learning within the schools.

The project starts with equipment installation in April 2022, and runs until the summer holidays. Watch this space for pictures and audio as the project develops!
